This months workshop night was nice and busy with two new faces along for advise and guidance. Tree of the month selection was all Azaleas and congratulations goes to Keith Warne for his win. It’s good to talk!
Bonsai doesn’t have to be a solitary hobby, you just need to be with people who enjoy what you do. This months’ club night saw spring pruning, cups of tea, jokes and some bonsai tree’s 7TH SEPTEMBER 2019 Celebrate the life and legacy of Will Adams - the first-ever Englishman to travel to Japan. From Tudor England and maritime history to Japanese culture in the 17th and the 21st century. Lots to see and do, including Taiko Meantime Drumming, martial arts, living history and story telling. Bearstead and Thurnham Fsetival and Fayre. https://bearstedfayre.co.uk/ Neil Ryan runs Mirai Bonsai in the USA and he has released a series of lectures and demos on YouTube that are first class quality. This video covers springtime in the Bonsai calendar. Its 2 hours long so make a cuppa and sandwich first, enjoy. Well it finally feels like spring is here with all the new budding going on. Don't forget to spray your trees.
